Cabinet Minister for Revenue excluding Muzrai in the Government of Karnataka Krishna Byre Gowda shared a video on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) about the digitalisation of the process of marriage registration in Karnataka. “With just photographic and videographic evidence of marriage, the verification process will happen online. Subsequently, after an approval, a certificate will be provided to them online,” he stated in the video. “Now one doesn’t have to visit the sub-registrar’s office for registering their marriage under Hindu Marriage Act. A cerificate is generated at the comfort of home by providing wedding invite,video, Aadhaar. One more step towards transparency and service delivery (sic),” he mentioned in the caption of his post.
