Bengaluru has cemented its status as India’s leading hub for young entrepreneurial talent, boasting 29 of the country's wealthiest individuals under the age of 35. This puts the city ahead of Mumbai, which has 26 individuals on the list, as revealed by the Hurun India Under-35 report, released by the Hurun Research Institute.

The Hurun India Under-35 list, which highlights 150 dynamic entrepreneurs, features first-generation leaders with a business valuation of over $50 million and next-generation leaders with businesses valued at over $100 million. Bengaluru's notable names include Sushant Goel and Ayush Bathwal of Third Wave Coffee, Shashank Kumar of Razorpay, and Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal of Meesho.
Anas Rahman Junaid, MD and Chief Researcher at Hurun India, noted the exceptional entrepreneurial spirit among India’s youth, particularly as they overcome global economic challenges.
Ankush Sachdeva, 31, of ShareChat, is the youngest individual on the list. Among women, Parita Parekh of Toddle and Isha Ambani of Reliance Retail, both 32, lead the charge. Seven women entrepreneurs made it to the prestigious list this year.
Financial services dominated with 21 entrepreneurs, followed by software & services with 14. The average age of the list is 33, and IIT Madras emerged as the top institution, producing 13 entrepreneurs, followed closely by IIT Bombay with 11.
