Bengaluru: Traffic violator bites cop’s fingers after being caught

    Man bite's cop fingers in Bengaluru

    The violator was seen riding sans helmet

    He was later arrested by the cops

A video circulating widely depicts a man in Bengaluru, identified as Sayyad Safi, engaging in a confrontation with traffic police personnel.

The incident occurred after Safi was stopped for driving a scooter without a helmet near Wilson Garden 10th Cross.

As the police spotted him not wearing a helmet, his keys were confiscated. At that point in time, he became agitated, bit a traffic constable’s finger to retrieve them, and grabbed the head constable’s phone to prevent recording of the incident. 

On his part, Safi claimed he was on his way to a hospital and forgot to wear a helmet, even as the video went viral. 

Later, he was arrested for his actions. The police have charged him with abusing and physically harming a police officer on duty, criminal intimidation, and disturbing peace.
