Bengaluru: Wife stabs husband for not buying her gift for wedding anniversary

A woman stabbed her husband with a knife for not giving her a gift during their wedding anniversary. The incident took place in Bengaluru on February 27th and has come to light only recently. 

The woman’s husband fell asleep on their anniversary. When her husband was sleeping, the woman made use of the opportune moment to grab a knife from the kitchen and stab him. This occurred at 1:30 AM. Her husband sustained injuries to his hand. Neighbours ensured that he received medical treatment at the earliest. They took him to the nearby hospital. 

A case has been registered in relation to this incident in the Bellandur Police Station. The police conducted a counselling session for the husband and wife. During investigations, it came to the forefront that this was the first time the husband had failed in getting his wife a gift. The wife admitted to have committed the offence. The husband reasoned that the reason for him not to buy a gift was that his grandfather had earlier passed away.
