Lawyer informed the police and food inspection unit upon noticing the cockroach

She alleges to have been pushed and verbally abused while capturing the visuals of the kitchen

A case has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the New Capitol Hotel located on the Raj Bhavan Road after a cockroach was found in the food ordered by a customer. The incident came to the forefront when a lawyer paid a visit to the place to grab a meal. 

The incident occurred at around 3 PM on 4th January. She informed the police and food inspection unit upon noticing the cockroach. She also captured visuals of the kitchen area through her mobile phone. There are also reports that the officials in the hotel indulged in inappropriate conduct towards the lawyer. She alleges to have been pushed and verbally abused while capturing the visuals.

 A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed in the Vidhana Soudha Police Station. Sections 352, 341,504 and 506 have been invoked. 2 individuals associated with the hotel have been named in the complaint. An investigation will be conducted in relation to this case.
