In a shocking incident, a young woman was sexually assaulted in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout after leaving a pub in Koramangala with her friends. The incident occurred late last night when the woman, who was intoxicated, left the pub in a car with her friends. Their vehicle collided with an auto-rickshaw en route, leading to a heated argument with the auto driver. The situation escalated, attracting the attention of a Hoysala patrol team.

Amid the commotion, the woman, in an intoxicated state, accepted a ride from a stranger on a two wheeler, leaving her friends behind. The man took her to a secluded location in HSR Layout, where he sexually assaulted her. During the ordeal, the woman repeatedly called her father and a friend, sending distress signals and SOS messages. After the assault, she managed to send her location to her friend.

Her friends, who rushed to the scene, found her in a severely distressed state and covered her with a tarpaulin before taking her to a nearby private hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Bengaluru police have formed a special team of 40 officers to investigate the case and apprehend the assailant. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about women’s safety in the city. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.
