The incident occurred on January 31, highlighting the crucial role of public transport employees in ensuring passenger safety.
On Saturday afternoon around 12.30 pm, the woman boarded a BMTC bus from KR Market, intending to travel to Kanakapura. She had purchased a ticket only up to Basavanagudi, planning to switch buses there. Due to heavy weekend rush and a large number of students travelling, the bus was extremely crowded.
In her hurry to get down at Basavanagudi and board another bus, she accidentally left behind a bag placed near her seat. Only after getting down did she realise that the bag, which contained gold ornaments worth approximately ₹10 lakh, was missing.
Shocked and distressed, the woman immediately approached the Basavanagudi police station and filed a complaint regarding the missing bag.

Overwhelmed with emotion, the woman broke down in tears after receiving back what she believed was lost forever. Only later did the conductor realise that the bag contained gold jewellery worth nearly ₹10 lakh, leaving her shocked and surprised.
