An 11-foot Indian Rock Python was found at a construction site in Talaghattapura’s Judicial Layout. Forest officials and wildlife rescuers responded swiftly, rescued the snake safely, and released it back into its natural habitat.

Forest officials safely rescue and relocate an 11-foot-long Indian Rock Python found inside an under-construction building in Bengaluru’s Talaghattapura area.

A huge 11-foot-long Indian Rock Python created a stir in Bengaluru’s Talaghattapura area after being spotted inside an under-construction building at Judicial Layout. The snake was noticed by workers during their night shift, who were alarmed upon seeing the reptile.

The workers immediately informed the forest department officials about the sighting. A team of wildlife rescuers, Prasanna Kumar, E. Manjunath, and Rizwan Khan, quickly arrived at the location. The team carefully handled the situation and successfully rescued the python without causing harm to either the snake or the workers.

After the rescue, the snake was safely relocated and released into a nearby forest area, ensuring it returned to its natural environment. The Indian Rock Python, a non-venomous species, often wanders into human areas in search of food or shelter, especially near green zones and construction areas.

The swift and coordinated effort of the forest team helped avoid panic and ensured the animal’s safe return to the wild.
