After a one-day payment delay, a youth says his phone was hacked, relatives were sent defamatory messages, and he was pushed into depression by a bike rental app.

A shocking case of alleged mental harassment and cyber abuse has come to light after a youth accused a bike rental application, B-Live, of pushing him into severe mental distress over a minor payment delay of just ₹1,500. The youth has now filed a formal complaint at the cyber crime police station, seeking legal action.

According to the victim, B-Live is a bike rental service available on the Google Play Store. He had rented a bike from the company last month after paying an advance amount of ₹5,500. As per the agreement, he was required to pay ₹1,600 every week as rent. Despite meeting most of his payment obligations, an unexpected accident last week left him injured and confined to bed rest.

Even while recovering, the youth continued making weekly payments. However, due to his health condition, there was a delay of one day in paying the amount on one occasion. He alleged that instead of showing understanding, the company resorted to extreme measures.

The youth claims that his mobile phone was hacked, following which messages were sent to his relatives from his own device. These messages reportedly contained false and defamatory content, branding him as a fraud and portraying him in a negative light. He said the company’s actions led to public humiliation, damaged his reputation among family members, and caused deep emotional trauma.

“I was unable to face my relatives after they received those messages. It broke me mentally,” the youth stated. He added that the continuous pressure and harassment pushed him into severe depression, leaving him emotionally shattered.
