Steel girder replacement on railway bridge to restrict vehicle movement from 6 pm Wednesday to noon Friday
Commuters travelling towards Bangalore University (BU) from Mysuru Road are likely to face traffic diversions and delays over the next two days as the city police enforce a temporary restriction on a key stretch.
According to the traffic police, vehicular movement on Jnanabharathi Main Road will be restricted for 42 hours starting from 6 pm on Wednesday until 12 noon on Friday. The block is being imposed to facilitate the replacement of steel girders on the railway bridge located along this route.
Officials stated that the restriction is necessary to ensure public safety while the infrastructure upgrade work is carried out. The police have advised motorists to cooperate and follow the designated diversion routes during this period.
For those heading towards BU or Ullal from Mysuru Road, commuters must take a right turn at Jairamdas Junction. From there, they should proceed via Muthurayanagar and Government Press Road, and then take a right turn near the BPEd Ground to reach their destination.
On the other hand, vehicle users travelling towards Mysuru Road from Ullal or Mariyappanapalya will have to divert at the BU Head Office Circle. They are required to proceed via Nagarabhavi Main Road and continue towards the Outer Ring Road to connect back to Mysuru Road.
