Astrologer Sachidananda Babu Guruji drew attention after his YouTube video linked the Blood Moon to unrest in West Asia, warning of war fears and turmoil
Karnataka’s noted astrologer Sachidananda Babu Guruji has come into focus after a video he uploaded on February 25 resurfaced during the ongoing tensions between Iran and Western nations. In the video, Guruji linked the approaching lunar eclipse (Blood Moon) to possible instability in West Asia, warning of a heightened ‘fear of war.’
He suggested that countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia could face internal turmoil and security challenges. According to him, eclipses often coincide with periods of unrest, and the lunar event could trigger significant geopolitical consequences.
By February 28, reports of escalating hostilities involving Iran began circulating internationally, drawing renewed attention to Guruji’s forecast. Supporters highlighted the timing of his prediction as evidence of astrology’s relevance, while critics maintained that global conflicts are shaped by political and military decisions rather than planetary alignments.
Guruji’s video has since gained traction online, sparking debate about astrology’s role in interpreting world events. In India, where celestial movements are often viewed as indicators of societal shifts, the prediction has reinforced astrology’s cultural significance. His followers regard the forecast as validation of his methods.

Citing the ancient text Bruhat Samhita, Guruji noted that a ‘blood moon’ traditionally signifies war and warned that the eclipse would be unfavourable for maritime activity. Interestingly, this coincided with reports of major shipping lines suspending operations in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints.
Beyond geopolitical concerns, Guruji also predicted that the lunar eclipse could bring natural disasters in regions where it is visible, economic fluctuations in India, and even new innovations in the automobile industry.
Whether seen as prophecy or coincidence, his forecast has added a cultural dimension to public discussions about conflict, stability, and the influence of celestial events.
