KIA’s T2 unveils a new Garden Trail and public gallery, blending greenery and art to create a calm, eco-friendly space that reflects Bengaluru’s 'Garden City' image
Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru has unveiled a new Garden Trail and public gallery at Terminal 2, further strengthening its reputation as one of India’s most aesthetically designed airports. The facility, located in the post-customs area of the international section of T2, is open to all departing and arriving international passengers.
The newly opened space combines modern architecture with lush greenery, echoing Bengaluru’s identity as the ‘Garden City.’ Featuring abundant plants, natural materials and soft lighting, the area has been created to offer a soothing environment within the otherwise hectic airport setting. Airport officials say the intent is to provide travellers with a calming, visually engaging pause during their journey, thereby reducing stress and enhancing overall comfort.

Images and videos of the Garden Trail and gallery quickly spread across social media platforms following the opening. Many users praised the design, describing it as serene, refreshing and among the best airport interiors in the country. Some also noted that the space feels more like a curated urban garden than a conventional terminal zone.
Terminal 2 at KIA has already drawn national attention for its sustainability-focused design, including extensive use of bamboo, natural light and integrated landscaping. The addition of this public gallery and Garden Trail reinforces the airport’s focus on eco-friendly development, art-led spaces and passenger well-being. While a detailed official statement has not yet been issued, the initiative is part of KIA’s broader effort to position T2 as a benchmark for world-class, experiential airport infrastructure in India.
