The process, led by BDA Chairman N.A. Haris at the BDA head office, was carried out using a fully computerised randomisation system designed to ensure transparency and fairness. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the entire allotment was streamed live on YouTube, allowing the public to witness the process.

Many of the beneficiaries had been waiting since 2005-06 after losing their original sites during the Arkavathi Layout development. The newly allotted plots are located in Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout (NPKL), and the final list has been uploaded on the BDA website. Beneficiaries can now directly proceed with their sale deeds without visiting officials.

The initiative follows clear instructions from Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to make BDA’s operations more citizen-friendly and transparent. BDA Commissioner P. Manivannan said this effort marks a major step in rebuilding public confidence and promised more reforms to make the authority efficient and accountable.
