The R&R centre, developed by YSPACE, winner of the tender floated by National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML), a subsidiary of NHAI, is set to redefine highway travel. The facility is designed to cater to families, long-distance travellers, and heavy vehicle operators alike.

The centre will feature:

•    Food courts and drive-through restaurants offering diverse cuisines
•    Fuel stations for smooth refueling
•    A factory outlet mall for shopping enthusiasts
•    A massive play zone to entertain children
•    A motel to accommodate travellers overnight
•    Handicraft stalls showcasing local products

Adding a spiritual and visual landmark, a towering 144.9-foot Hanuman statue will greet visitors, serving as both a landmark and a symbol of devotion. Additionally, plans include a helipad and a trauma centre to handle medical emergencies efficiently. For truck drivers and long-haul operators, a dedicated dormitory and cooking area have been incorporated into the design.

The Bangarpet R&R project is estimated to cost Rs 150 crore. In the pipeline are two more wayside amenities along the same highway corridor, one at Chittoor and another at Kanchipuram.

This development promises to make highway journeys safer, more convenient, and enjoyable, providing a much-needed boost to travel infrastructure on one of India’s busiest expressways.
