Additional Commissioner Daljeet Kumar pushes for quicker E-Khata processing and tighter enforcement of pending property tax collections.

The Additional Commissioner (Development) of the Bengaluru Central City Corporation, Daljeet Kumar, has instructed officials in the Revenue Department to ensure faster and more efficient processing of e-Khata applications, emphasising that residents must not face difficulties due to administrative delays.

At a review meeting held at the canopy hall of the P.U.B. Building on M.G. Officials were also reminded that unnecessary delays in issuing property documents create hardship for citizens and must be eliminated.

Kumar directed the Revenue Department to prepare a clear list of property owners with pending tax dues across the central division. Revenue officers have been instructed to issue demand notices to all defaulters and initiate sealing of buildings if taxes remain unpaid despite repeated reminders. The Corporation aims to strengthen tax enforcement while ensuring that public-facing services remain smooth and transparent.

According to the civic body, these steps are intended to streamline processes, protect municipal revenue, and prevent recurring delays in e-Khata approvals and tax collection. Strict measures may be taken against habitual defaulters to ensure compliance.
