Traffic flow around Palace Grounds and key city routes will change from 7am to 4pm due to the Women and Children Development Department’s golden jubilee celebrations.

Bengaluru motorists are set to experience significant route changes today as the Karnataka State Women and Children Development Department marks its golden jubilee at Krishna Vihar, Palace Grounds. With large footfall expected, traffic diversions have been introduced from 7am to 4pm across multiple major corridors to prevent congestion.

Vehicles heading towards Kempegowda International Airport have been redirected through Old High Grounds Junction, Old Udaya TV Junction, Cantonment Railway Station, Tannery Road and Nagavara. Those travelling from the airport towards the Central Business District must turn left at Hebbal and right at Nagavara Junction before moving into the city through Bamboo Bazaar and Queen’s Road.

A second option to reach the CBD includes taking the Hebbal Ring Road exit, passing Kuvempu Circle and Goraguntepalya Junction, and proceeding via Rajkumar Road. Meanwhile, commuters travelling towards the airport from the Yeshwantpur side are required to take a right at the BEL roundabout, continue along Mathikere Road and join the Ring Road to reach KIA.

For travellers moving from Yeshwantpur towards the CBD, Rajkumar Road will serve as the designated entry route. These temporary adjustments are aimed at ensuring smoother traffic flow during the high-profile event at Palace Grounds.
