In a major leap forward for Bengaluru's metro expansion, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded the contract for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for the Phase 2A and 2B corridors. This contract, given to a leading international firm, is a critical step in the ongoing development of the city's metro infrastructure.

The Phase 2A corridor, stretching from Silk Board to KR Puram, and Phase 2B, connecting KR Puram to the Kempegowda International Airport, are key projects aimed at enhancing Bengaluru's public transportation system.
