The initiative, notified via a government order on August 21, 2025, aims to incentivize timely compliance with traffic rules while easing the financial burden of accumulated fines. The campaign’s response has already exceeded the success of a similar 2023 drive, which collected Rs 5.6 crore and cleared more than two lakh violations.

Motorists have several easy options to pay their pending fines, including the KSP app, BTP ASTraM app, Karnataka One, Bangalore One, or by visiting local traffic police stations and the Traffic Management Centre with their vehicle registration information. Authorities stress that the rebate is a limited-time offer, with September 12 as the final date to avail the discount.

This surge highlights Bengaluru residents’ eagerness to regularize their pending fines, setting new benchmarks for compliance and revenue collection while ensuring safer roads.
