Traditional immersion hubs like Yediyur Lake, Sankey Tank, and Ulsoor Lake saw over 80% of idols immersed, drawing thousands of devotees throughout the day. BBMP intensified its campaign against banned Plaster of Paris (POP) idols, conducting raids before the festival and closely monitoring immersion points.

For smoother operations, the civic body identified 41 lakes with dedicated kalyanis and set up 489 mobile immersion tanks across wards. The arrangements included barricades, lighting, cranes, sanitation staff, and even trained swimmers for emergencies.
While South Zone recorded the highest numbers, areas like Dasarahalli (1,104 immersions) and Mahadevapura (5,690) remained relatively modest, reflecting Bengaluru’s diverse immersion patterns. Officials noted that enhanced facilities and stricter enforcement ensured a safer, more eco-conscious celebration this year.
