A dramatic confrontation in a city PG ends with the arrest of a tech professional after his wife exposes an alleged affair and files atrocity and abuse charges.
Bengaluru witnessed a dramatic turn of events after a woman caught her husband red-handed with another woman, leading to his arrest by the city police. The accused has been identified as Jedrela Jacob Aroop, a tech professional working in Bengaluru.

According to police, Aroop had been living with his wife in the West Division police station limits for the past two years. His wife, originally from Andhra Pradesh, is employed with a reputed private company. In the initial phase of their marriage, the accused was reportedly unemployed. It is alleged that the wife helped him secure her own high-paying job, earning a salary worth several lakhs of rupees.

The couple has a child. However, after the birth of the child, the relationship reportedly began to deteriorate. The woman has accused her husband of revealing his “true nature” thereafter. She further alleged that when she became pregnant for the second time, the accused abused her using caste-based slurs, physically assaulted her, and forced her into a miscarriage.

Police sources say that during this period, the accused also allegedly cheated on his wife and developed an illicit relationship with another woman. Distressed by the continuous abuse and betrayal, the woman left Bengaluru and went back to Andhra Pradesh.

On receiving information about her husband living with another woman in a paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru, she returned to the city. She approached the police, submitted necessary evidence, and sought assistance. Acting on her complaint, police accompanied her to the PG, where Aroop was allegedly found in the same room with the other woman.

Speaking emotionally, the complainant told police that she personally witnessed the two together inside the room. Following this, the police arrested the accused. An atrocity case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway at the DCR East West Division police station in Bengaluru.
