Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha stepped into the role of a Blinkit delivery partner for a day, sharing a teaser video on social media to highlight the harsh realities faced by gig economy workers.
Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha has once again brought focus to the working conditions of gig economy workers by spending a full day as a Blinkit delivery partner. On Monday, Chadha shared a teaser video on his X account, offering a glimpse into his experience and the daily challenges faced by delivery riders.
The short clip shows Chadha preparing for the role by changing into a Blinkit T-shirt and jacket, after which he collects a delivery bag from a rider. He is then seen riding pillion on a scooter with the delivery partner, stopping at a store to pick up grocery items and travelling to a customer’s location. The video ends with the delivery rider ringing the doorbell as Chadha follows closely behind.

Chadha has been vocal about the issue since late 2025, when a video of a Blinkit rider went viral after the worker revealed he earned only Rs 763 for nearly 15 hours of work. The incident sparked nationwide debate on low pay, excessive working hours and the absence of social security for gig workers.
Reacting to the issue, Chadha had described the situation as “systemic exploitation hidden behind apps and algorithms” on social media. He also raised the matter during the Winter Session of Parliament, demanding better protections and fairer conditions for delivery partners.
