Auction to be held Friday at Joint Commissioner’s Office in Rajajinagar after repeated notices to owners
In a strict move against long-pending property tax arrears, the Bengaluru West City Corporation (BWCC) has announced that 61 properties will be put up for public auction after their owners failed to clear outstanding dues amounting to ₹94.9 lakh.
The auction is scheduled to take place on Friday at the Joint Commissioner’s Office, Malleswaram Zone, located at 26th Cross, 2nd Block, Rajajinagar. According to officials, the decision comes after the property owners ignored multiple reminders and failed to respond even after receiving formal notices from the civic body.

Sources said the corporation had issued several notices demanding payment of the pending property tax. When there was no response, proclamation notices were also served as a final warning. With no compliance from the defaulters, the authorities have now moved ahead with the auction process as per civic rules.
This is not the first such action taken by the BWCC in recent weeks. Earlier, similar auctions were conducted on February 17 and February 21 to recover unpaid tax dues. The latest round is part of the corporation’s continued efforts to enforce tax discipline and improve revenue collection.
Officials stated that the auction will proceed as planned on Friday, and eligible bidders can participate at the designated venue in Malleswaram Zone.
