A young professional’s honest admission about hating his job and struggling with career uncertainty resonates with thousands, doubling his online following overnight.

A Bengaluru-based 22-year-old content creator has gone viral after posting a deeply honest video about wanting to quit his full-time job. The clip, shared on Instagram as part of his “Sunday ramblings,” captured the anxiety, frustration and confusion he feels about his career, striking a strong emotional chord with young working professionals across the country.

In the video, Aanshul Uthaiah said he intended to resign on Monday because he no longer enjoyed his work, describing his job as “boring” and mentally draining. He shared that despite securing admission to two Australian universities for higher studies, he did not want to pursue education again and felt stuck between choices that didn't excite him. He admitted that his situation made him feel like he was wasting valuable time.

Uthaiah also revealed that his parents were unhappy about him leaving a stable job, adding another layer of pressure to an already difficult decision. Before the clip went viral, he had around 10,000 Instagram followers. Within 48 hours, that number doubled to more than 20,000, with the video crossing two million views. The young fitness enthusiast, who regularly posts workout videos, began his content creation journey only three months ago and said he now wants to dedicate himself fully to it.

After the first video gained huge traction, Uthaiah uploaded another clip recorded on Monday morning, where he openly expressed fear and indecision about resigning. He said the lack of financial security worries him, even though he does not enjoy his current role. Standing between hesitation and the urge to take a risk, he shared that he was unsure when he would get another chance to make a bold career move.

His candid expression of real-time emotions, without filters, scripts, or rehearsed lines, has sparked discussions among young professionals about burnout, job dissatisfaction, and the pressure to build a stable future.
