Three major government hospitals in Bengaluru will now serve hygienic and nutritious ISKCON meals, replacing the existing menu in a bid to improve patient care.

In a move aimed at improving patient nutrition and hygiene, the Karnataka government has revamped the food system in three of Bengaluru’s key public hospitals. Starting this month, KC General Hospital, Jayanagar General Hospital, and CV Raman General Hospital will serve meals prepared by ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness).

The nine-month initiative, costing Rs 1.37 crore, is designed to ensure patients receive fresh, hygienic, and flavorful food during their stay. The new menu will replace existing breakfast and lunch offerings with ISKCON’s well-known wholesome preparations.

Officials say the partnership will not only improve taste and quality but also boost the recovery experience for patients. ISKCON, known for its large-scale food programs like Akshaya Patra, has a reputation for maintaining strict hygiene standards while delivering nutritious meals.

If successful, the initiative could be extended to other hospitals across the city. For now, patients in these three hospitals can look forward to a healthier and tastier dining experience.
