BMTC extends night bus services for New Year, late-night connectivity till 2 AM

BMTC has announced special New Year night bus services on December 31, extending operations till 2 am. Buses will run from MG Road and Brigade Road to major Bengaluru localities to support Metro services and ease passenger movement.

To support Metro operations and ease New Year travel, BMTC announces special night buses from MG Road and Brigade Road to major Bengaluru localities on December 31.

Bengaluru commuters have reason to cheer this New Year as the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has announced special bus services to ensure safe and smooth travel on December 31 night. The move comes alongside Metro services and aims to provide extended public transport options for passengers celebrating New Year across the city.

BMTC has decided to operate additional buses from key city centres to various parts of Bengaluru, keeping passenger convenience as the top priority. Services will be available late into the night, addressing the usual surge in demand during New Year celebrations.

According to BMTC officials, special bus services will operate from major hubs such as MG Road and Brigade Road, connecting several residential and commercial areas across the city. On December 31, buses will continue to run even after 11:00 pm, with services extended up to 2:00 am on January 1.

From Brigade Road, direct bus services will be available to Electronic City. Similarly, buses will operate from the MG Road Metro Station to Sarjapur, ensuring connectivity for IT corridors and densely populated zones.

In addition, BMTC has arranged bus services to several key areas including Kengeri KHB Quarters, Jnanabharathi Township, Nelamangala, Yelahanka suburb, Bagalur, Hoskote, Channasandra, Kadugodi, Banashankari, and Jeevan Bhima Nagar.

To further strengthen connectivity, additional buses will also operate between Central Silk Board and Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS), covering Koramangala as well. Services will also be available connecting Kempegowda Bus Station, KR Market, Shivajinagar, Koramangala, Kadugodi, Kengeri, and Sumanahalli.

BMTC has also ensured bus connectivity from areas such as Goraguntepalya, Yeshwanthpur, Yelahanka, Shanthinagar, Banashankari, Hebbal, and Central Silk Board, making sure passengers across the city have access to public transport during late-night hours.

With Metro services already in place, the additional BMTC buses are expected to significantly improve last-mile connectivity across Bengaluru.
