The new monthly pass on the NICE Road Vajra and AC Vajra services is expected to reduce travel costs and offer a faster, more convenient option for commuters between Madavara and Electronic City.
Daily travel in Bengaluru heavily depends on metro services and BMTC buses, and for many working residents, public transport remains the most reliable way to reach their workplaces on time. In a move that has brought significant relief to thousands of daily users, BMTC has introduced a new monthly pass for passengers travelling on the NICE Road stretch between Madavara and Electronic City.
Until now, commuters using the NICE Road Vajra buses had to purchase a ticket for each trip and additionally pay the toll charges separately. The new policy removes this extra burden by offering a single, consolidated monthly pass.

BMTC has extended the pass facility to both Vajra and the newly introduced AC Vajra buses operating on the NICE Road corridor. Beginning tomorrow, these new AC Vajra buses will start service, and passengers can immediately avail the monthly pass benefits.
The pricing for the pass has been structured to include all components. The base Vajra pass price stands at ₹1,904. Along with this, the mandatory toll charge of ₹1,333 and GST of ₹161 have been added, bringing the total monthly pass cost to ₹3,400. Commuters will no longer have to pay toll fees separately during travel, making daily rides smoother and more economical.

Demand for these services has risen sharply, especially among those travelling between Madavara and Electronic City. The NICE Road route is proving to be faster than metro travel for the same stretch. While the metro journey takes close to 1 hour and 30 minutes, the AC Vajra buses cover the distance in approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes, saving nearly 20 minutes of travel time. With the launch of the monthly pass, passengers are expected to benefit even more from this convenience.
The introduction of this integrated pass is set to encourage more people to depend on BMTC for long-distance daily travel and reduce the dependence on personal vehicles.
