BMTC introduced new metro feeder buses for the Yellow Line today. These routes connect Hosa Road, Singasandra, and Kudlu Gate to nearby transit zones
In a significant move to enhance first and last-mile connectivity for Bengaluru's public transport users, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), in coordination with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), has launched dedicated metro feeder bus services. Starting March 9, 2026, eight new feeder routes have commenced operations to support the growing passenger traffic on the newly inaugurated Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road – Bommasandra (Yellow Line) corridor.
Since the Yellow Line commenced operations in August 2025, train services have gradually expanded, leading to a steady rise in daily commuters. To accommodate this surge and reduce local traffic congestion, the new feeder buses specifically target high-footfall stations, strategically connecting the Hosa Road, Singasandra, and Kudlu Gate Metro stations with surrounding residential and commercial areas.
The Hosa Road Metro Station will serve as a primary transit hub, anchoring two major ring routes operating directly from its premises. The first ring route covers key checkpoints including Central Jail, National Public School, Haralur, Haralur Cross, Agara, Parangipalya, Somasundarapalya, Kudlu Gate, and Singasandra. The second ring route runs the identical circuit in the reverse direction. Both routes offer frequent daily departures from 6:00 AM until late evening, ensuring commuters have consistent and reliable access throughout the day.

Additionally, a vital feeder network has been introduced, connecting the Hosa Road Metro Station directly to the Carmelaram Bus Stop. This crucial route navigates through Central Jail, Doddamara, Chikkanayakanahalli, and Doddakannali. Buses on this route also begin operations at 6:00 AM from both terminals, providing robust connectivity for residents in the Sarjapur Road and Electronic City corridors.
Authorities strongly encourage all metro commuters to utilize these new feeder services to experience a seamless, convenient, and congestion-free daily transit experience across South Bengaluru.
