Bengaluru’s outskirts witnessed a shocking daylight robbery after a four-member gang intercepted a cash collection agent and fled with more than ₹31 lakh. The incident occurred within the limits of the Bannerghatta Police Station, sending shockwaves across the Silicon City’s suburban areas.

The victim, Kailas, works as a cash collection agent under a contractor named Rakesh. His role involved visiting various branches of the Udaan company to collect daily cash. On Sunday evening, as part of his routine duty, Kailas had collected a total amount of ₹31,38,625 from multiple branches.

After completing his collections, Kailas placed the cash inside the boot of his Jupiter scooter and began travelling along Sakalavara Road, heading towards Bannerghatta. At around 4:20 pm, two motorcycles carrying four unidentified men began tailing him.

Following the incident, Bannerghatta police rushed to the location and conducted a spot inspection. An official robbery case has been registered, and investigators are scanning nearby CCTV footage to identify and trace the accused.
