Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samiti leads large demonstration condemning recent incidents in Chamarajapete; leaders, seers, and devotees participate
Bengaluru witnessed a large-scale protest on Sunday as several Hindu organisations gathered at Freedom Park to condemn a series of incidents reported in Chamarajapete. The protest was organised by the Hindu Rashtra Samanvaya Samiti, along with various pro-Hindu groups and spiritual collectives.
The demonstration began around 11.30 am, following a call for protest announced earlier in the morning. Protesters alleged that Chamarajapete was being turned into “another Bangladesh” and raised concerns over what they described as the presence of illegal Bangladeshi residents in the area.
Participants strongly condemned the alleged attack on Om Shakti devotees and Ayyappa Swamy mala-dharis in Chamarajapete. Protesters also objected to reported restrictions on celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at the Idgah Maidan, stating that such actions hurt religious sentiments.

Another major issue raised during the protest was the alleged incident of a cow’s udder being cut, which demonstrators described as deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Slogans were raised demanding strict action against those involved in the incidents.
The protest saw the participation of Sri Ram Sena National President Pramod Muthalik, along with several Hindu leaders. Hindu seers, Ayyappa Swamy Guru Swamis, Om Shakti Bhakta Mandali leaders, and representatives from multiple spiritual traditions were also present.
Hundreds of activists from various Hindu organisations joined the demonstration, making it one of the larger protests held in the city in recent times. Speakers at the protest demanded protection for devotees, action against alleged illegal residents, and assurance of equal rights to celebrate Hindu festivals.

The organisers stated that the protest was aimed at drawing the government’s attention to recurring issues in Chamarajapete and called for immediate intervention to prevent further tensions.
