In a major development in the high-profile CJ Roy case, the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to RTI activist Vijay Dennis, asking him to submit evidence supporting his allegations of mental harassment and abetment to suicide.
The widely discussed CJ Roy case has taken a significant turn, with the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission stepping in to intensify the probe. Acting on a formal complaint, the Commission has issued a notice to RTI activist Vijay Dennis, who had sought a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
In his complaint, Vijay Dennis alleged that CJ Roy was subjected to severe mental harassment by certain individuals, which ultimately led to abetment to suicide. He urged the Commission to ensure strict legal action against those responsible and demanded a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter.

Taking the complaint seriously, the Human Rights Commission has now directed Vijay Dennis to submit any material evidence, documents, or proof that supports his allegations. The notice specifically asks him to place all available information before the Commission to strengthen the inquiry process.
The notice has been issued by DySP Sudhir Hegde of the Human Rights Commission. Vijay Dennis has been instructed to appear in person before the Commission on February 23 at 10:00 AM. During the hearing, he is expected to provide detailed information and documentary evidence related to the alleged harassment and instigation.
