Confident Group owner CJ Roy died by suicide at his Richmond Circle office; funeral to be held at Kasagrand, Bannerghatta, with public homage arranged in Koramangala
Further details have emerged in the suicide case of Dr. C.J. Roy, owner of the Confident Group, as arrangements for his final rites and public homage are now in place, in line with his personal wishes.
According to sources close to the family, Dr. C.J. Roy had earlier expressed his desire to be cremated at Casagrand in Bannerghatta. Honouring this wish, his last rites will be performed at Casagrand, Bannerghatta, later this evening.
Before the funeral, final viewing arrangements have been made at the residence of his brother, CJ Babu Joseph. The body will be kept for public homage at the White House in Koramangala, a property owned by Babu Joseph. He is also known as the owner of White Gold company.
Family members confirmed that relatives, prominent personalities, and members of the public will be allowed to pay their last respects at the Koramangala White House. Adequate arrangements have been made to facilitate smooth public viewing.

Dr. C.J. Roy’s death occurred following a tragic incident at the Confident Group office near Richmond Circle in central Bengaluru, where he allegedly shot himself inside the office premises. The incident sent shockwaves across business and real estate circles.
Sources indicated that ongoing Income Tax raids were a major source of stress for the businessman. Officials confirmed that IT raids had been conducted earlier, and fresh raids were carried out on the day of the incident, which reportedly added to the pressure he was facing.
