Low visibility during early morning hours led to delays and cancellations at Kempegowda International Airport, while IMD data shows Bengaluru recording below-normal minimum temperatures.
Flight operations at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport were affected on December 15 due to dense fog and poor visibility during the early morning hours. Low-visibility conditions between 4.14 a.m. and 10 a.m. led to widespread delays, disrupting travel for hundreds of passengers.
A total of 48 flights were delayed, including 46 domestic and two international services, as aircraft movements were slowed due to fog cover over the airport. Operations gradually stabilised after visibility conditions improved later in the morning.
