The murder of Dr. Kruthika Reddy, a young doctor from Bengaluru’s Victoria Hospital, has sent shockwaves across Bengaluru.

Kruthika, who was full of dreams, tied the knot with fellow doctor Dr. Mahendra Reddy on May 26, 2024, after a lavish pre-wedding shoot held across six picturesque locations, including Kashmir. Investigations have revealed that Mahendra allegedly administered a lethal injection to his wife, leading to her death, an act that has left both families and the public horrified. Police say that marital disputes, stemming from health-related issues concealed before marriage, may have triggered the crime.

Adding to the shock, Kruthika’s family revealed that after her death, Mahendra had visited their home claiming he wanted to keep her jewellery and belongings as “memories”, only to take them all away. The grieving family also disclosed that Kruthika’s father had even planned to open a clinic for his son-in-law, unaware of his dark intentions.
