A canter driver allegedly driving under the influence rammed multiple vehicles in Anekal town in Bengaluru. Exclusive CCTV visuals of the incident have surfaced, showing the reckless driving that triggered the chain accident.
A shocking case of reckless driving was reported from Anekal town in Bengaluru where a canter driver allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol and caused a chain accident on the road. The incident created panic among motorists and residents in the area.
According to available information, the driver was driving the heavy vehicle in a rash manner and collided with several vehicles that came in his path. The accident involved four to five bikes, two auto-rickshaws and one car, all of which were hit during the reckless drive.
Exclusive CCTV footage of the incident has been accessed by NewsFirst. The visuals reportedly show the canter moving dangerously on the road and crashing into vehicles one after another due to reckless driving.
The footage clearly indicates how the vehicle struck multiple vehicles while the driver continued to move forward without stopping.
Even after hitting several vehicles, the driver allegedly did not stop the vehicle and attempted to escape from the spot. However, people present at the location quickly reacted and managed to block the canter.
The vehicle was eventually intercepted and stopped by members of the public, preventing the driver from fleeing.
Angered by the series of accidents and the damage caused, the crowd caught hold of the driver and assaulted him on the spot.
In their anger, some people also broke the glass of the canter using sticks. The vehicle’s glass was reportedly smashed during the confrontation.
The public vented their frustration after witnessing the dangerous driving that had put many lives at risk.
Soon after the incident, Anekal police arrived at the spot and brought the situation under control. The driver was taken into custody by the police for further investigation.

Authorities are now examining the circumstances of the incident and the CCTV footage as part of the inquiry.
