Deputy CM D K Shivakumar to lead city inspections and citizen interaction programmes across Bengaluru beginning October 11.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority held its first official meeting on October 10, 2025 (Friday) at 4:00 PM in the Kempegowda Meeting Hall, located at the Authority’s office premises in Bengaluru. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru City Development Minister D K Shivakumar.
With this, the Authority has announced a public initiative titled “Walk with Bengaluru”, aimed at engaging with residents and inspecting key city areas. The programme will be led by Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who will personally take part in the walk and inspection schedules across the five Bengaluru City Corporations.
As per the schedule released, the programme will be held from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on designated days, divided into three parts —
7:00 AM to 8:00 AM: Walk with citizens
8:00 AM to 9:00 AM: Interaction with citizens
9:00 AM to 10:00 AM: Inspection of various places
The schedule of visits is as follows:
• October 11, 2025: Bengaluru Central City Corporation – Venue: Lalbagh Park
• October 12, 2025: Bengaluru North City Corporation – Venue: J.P. Park, Mathikere
• October 18, 2025: Bengaluru East City Corporation – Venue: Vengaiah Eco Park, T.C. Palya, K.R. Puram
• October 19, 2025: Bengaluru South City Corporation – Venue: Veera Yodhara Vana Park, Koramangala
• October 25, 2025: Bengaluru West City Corporation – Venue: Gandhi Park, Nagarbhavi 2nd Stage
• October 26, 2025: Bengaluru Central City Corporation – Venue: Cubbon Park

According to officials, the initiative is intended to allow top city administrators and civic representatives to review on-ground conditions across different zones of Bengaluru and interact directly with residents and local bodies.
