The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) is moving forward with a series of urban development initiatives under the East City Corporation, focusing on flyover beautification and road improvements. To reduce congestion on Outer Ring Road, three Entry and Exit points are operational, with the remaining connections to be completed in coordination with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). On Sarjapur Road, Rao emphasised developing the Kaikondrahalli median, upgrading service roads, resolving TDR issues, removing unauthorized structures, and merging Wipro’s drain with city drains to prevent flooding.

At Varthur-Gunjur Main Road near New Horizon College, acquisition of six acres of forest land has been instructed for a new road to ease traffic. On Gunjur-Panathur Road, asphalting is nearly complete except for a 180-meter stretch over a stormwater drain; footpaths and alignment must follow approved plans.

These combined efforts aim to ensure smoother traffic flow, safer pedestrian movement, and cleaner flyover spaces across East Bengaluru.
