The State Election Commission has published the draft voter list for Greater Bengaluru, opening the window for objections and corrections until February 3 ahead of the upcoming city corporation elections.
The draft voter list for the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) area has been officially released, providing a detailed snapshot of the electorate ahead of the proposed elections to the five city corporations under its jurisdiction.
As per the draft data, Greater Bengaluru has a total of 88,91,411 voters. This includes 45,69,193 male voters, 43,20,583 female voters, and 1,635 voters registered under the ‘other’ category. The electorate is spread across 369 wards and 8,045 polling stations.
The ward-wise and zone-wise breakup shows significant variation across the five city corporations:
• Bengaluru Central has 63 wards, 1,305 polling stations, and 14,25,483 voters.
• Bengaluru North comprises 72 wards, 1,716 polling stations, and 19,54,206 voters.
• Bengaluru South also has 72 wards and 1,716 polling stations, with a voter count of 17,44,270.
• Bengaluru East includes 50 wards, 916 polling stations, and 10,41,738 voters.
• Bengaluru West, the largest by size, has 112 wards, 2,493 polling stations, and 27,25,714 voters.
The final electoral list will be released on March 16.

The draft voter list was announced during a press conference related to the elections of the five city corporations under the GBA. The briefing was attended by State Election Commissioner G.S. Sangreshi along with commissioners of all the city corporations.
From tomorrow, citizens can submit objections or suggestions regarding the draft voter list. The window for filing objections will remain open until February 3. During this period, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct door-to-door verification to cross-check voter details.
Voters have been advised to verify their names, spelling, address details, and other information. Those whose names are missing, wrongly entered, or contain errors will have the opportunity to get the details corrected within the stipulated time.
