Bangalore Development Authority hands over eight well-known layouts to the Greater Bengaluru Authority, with GBA set to manage maintenance, collect taxes, and share responsibility for pending infrastructure works.
In a significant administrative move, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has officially handed over eight of its residential layouts to the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). With this transfer, the responsibility for civic administration, maintenance, and revenue collection in these areas will now rest with the GBA.
As part of the handover, the GBA will take charge of day-to-day management, upkeep of infrastructure, and collection of property-related taxes from residents in these layouts. The transfer has been carried out with specific conditions to ensure continuity of development and completion of pending works.
