Gold touches ₹1.40 lakh mark, silver shatters records across India as global surge lifts domestic prices

Gold prices in India have crossed ₹1.40 lakh per 10 grams amid global gains. Silver has hit record highs, with Bengaluru seeing a sharp ₹18,200 jump in a single day, reflecting strong bullion momentum nationwide.

Rising international bullion prices continue to push gold and silver rates higher in Indian markets, with silver seeing a sharp single-day jump in Bengaluru.

Gold and silver prices have witnessed a strong upward trend in both international and domestic markets, and the impact is clearly visible across major Indian cities. Since the beginning of 2026, bullion prices have been steadily climbing, driven by global market movements. As gold prices surge, silver too is racing ahead, moving closer to gold in value.

Gold prices in India have now crossed the ₹1.40 lakh level, reflecting sustained demand and global price pressure. In Hyderabad, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold stands at ₹1,42,160, marginally higher than Monday’s rate of ₹1,42,150. The 22-carat gold price in the city is currently ₹1,30,310, up from ₹1,30,000 earlier in the week.

Similar rates are seen in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, where 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,42,160 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is trading at ₹1,30,310.

In Chennai, gold prices are slightly higher, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,43,140 per 10 grams. The 22-carat gold rate in the city remains stable at ₹1,31,210.

Bengaluru mirrors Hyderabad’s prices, with 24-carat gold at ₹1,42,160 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹1,30,310. Meanwhile, in Delhi, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹1,42,310, and 22-carat gold at ₹1,30,460.

Silver prices have also surged sharply. In Delhi, silver is trading at ₹2,70,100 per kg. Hyderabad and Chennai report even higher rates at ₹2,87,100 per kg. In Bengaluru, silver is priced at ₹2,79,100 per kg, marking a single-day increase of ₹18,200. This jump has pushed silver to an all-time high, compared to ₹2,70,000 per kg on Monday.
