Heartbreak tragedy in Bengaluru: Gym trainer ends life after lover’s marriage fix

26-year-old bodybuilder dies by suicide in Mahalakshmi Layout, leaving behind a detailed death note blaming his lover and her mother after learning about her marriage to another man.

A tragic incident was reported from Bengaluru’s Mahalakshmi Layout, where a 26-year-old gym trainer and bodybuilder died by suicide after allegedly being devastated by his lover’s decision to marry another man. The deceased has been identified as Kiran.

According to police, Kiran had been in a relationship with a young woman for nearly three years. Recently, she reportedly informed him that her marriage had been fixed with another person. She is said to have shown him the wedding invitation card and a newly purchased saree, which deeply disturbed him.

Sources said Kiran had even prepared a gift for Valentine’s Day, planning to surprise her, but the revelation of her upcoming marriage shattered him emotionally. Unable to cope with the shock, he returned home, locked himself inside his room, and ended his life by hanging.

The incident came to light when family members forced open the locked door and found him hanging. He had left behind a detailed death note, in which he named his lover and her mother, holding them responsible for his extreme step. He also mentioned his mobile phone password as “99999” in the note.

Police revealed that Kiran had written that he was willing to clear a ₹50 lakh loan allegedly taken by the woman’s family. Eight months ago, the woman had reportedly visited Kiran’s home and asked his family to arrange their marriage. She was also known to his family and was two years older than him. However, her engagement to another man was reportedly finalised just a week ago.

The deceased’s parents have filed a formal complaint at the Mahalakshmi Layout Police Station, alleging that their son was emotionally cheated and mentally harassed. They claimed that the woman accepted financial support and later decided to marry someone else, which pushed Kiran into depression.

The body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and are investigating the allegations mentioned in the death note, including emotional distress, financial aspects, and possible abetment to suicide.
