Late-night robbery caught on CCTV as two helmeted men on a number-plate-less bike flee with a high-end mobile phone in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout First Sector.

In a swift late-night theft incident, a man waiting for a Rapido bike was robbed of his iPhone 17 Pro Max by two helmeted thieves in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout First Sector. The incident occurred around 9:50 PM, causing concern among residents over rising street crimes in the area.

The victim, identified as Sumant, was standing on the roadside waiting for his Rapido bike ride when the accused approached him on a two-wheeler that did not have a number plate. Both men were wearing helmets, making identification difficult. In a quick move, they snatched his iPhone 17 Pro Max and sped away from the spot within seconds.

The entire act was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, which clearly shows the bike stopping briefly before the theft and the swift escape of the suspects. The footage is now being used by the police to track down the culprits.

Following the incident, Sumant lodged a complaint at the HSR Layout Police Station. Based on his statement and CCTV evidence, the police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Officers are analyzing surveillance footage from surrounding areas to identify the escape route and trace the accused.
