Quick action by airport staff and digital payment tracking helps a traveller recover his forgotten bag within minutes, highlighting Bengaluru’s tech-driven efficiency.

A tech-savvy recovery at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport has gone viral after a traveller was reunited with his forgotten backpack in minutes, thanks to the swift action of airport staff and the digital payment trail.

Jaskaran Singh, the traveller, left his bag on a BMTC KIA shuttle bus while heading to the airport, only realising his oversight just before check-in. “Forgot my backpack on a KIA shuttle bus to Bangalore airport and realised just before check-in,” Singh wrote on X.

Unable to locate the bag himself, Singh approached the airport personnel. Leveraging the UPI transaction details for his shuttle fare, staff quickly traced the bus number and retrieved the backpack. Singh expressed gratitude, stating, “Staff traced the bus number using my UPI transaction and got my bag back. Love how this tech city solves everything. Huge thanks to Ravi for the help.”

Here’s how the belongings can be recovered:

1.    Provide Transaction Details: Give your UPI payment information for the shuttle fare.

2.    Tracking the Vehicle: Airport staff use the digital transaction to identify the bus number and route.

3.    Quick Recovery: The belongings will be  retrieved within minutes.
