The incident has raised concerns over public safety and attacks on uniformed personnel performing their duty.

According to police, the incident occurred when the young woman was walking on the road wearing revealing clothes. Some men allegedly passed inappropriate looks at her. At that moment, home guard staff Lakshmi Narasamma, an elderly woman on duty nearby, intervened and protected the young woman from the men.
