Two men used a plastic gun to threaten staff at a jewellery shop in Dasanapura, but the owner’s resistance forced them to flee with limited loot.

A daring robbery attempt was reported from Dasanapura village in Nelamangala taluk, where two unidentified men tried to loot a jewellery shop by threatening the owner with a plastic gun. The incident took place at Ram Dev Jewellery, creating panic in the area.

According to police sources, the accused arrived at the shop on a motorcycle and suddenly entered the premises. They allegedly pulled out a plastic gun and attempted to intimidate the shop owner, demanding valuables. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the owner refused to panic and strongly resisted the robbery attempt.

Witnesses said the shop owner confronted the attackers without fear, which left the accused shocked and confused. Unable to continue the robbery or control the situation, the suspects hurriedly grabbed whatever they could and fled the scene.

During their escape, the robbers managed to snatch a gold chain weighing approximately 27 grams and ₹50,000 in cash from the shop before speeding away on their motorcycle.

Following the incident, officials from the Madanayakanahalli Police Station rushed to the spot and conducted a detailed inspection. The police have collected CCTV footage from the jewellery shop and nearby areas to identify and trace the suspects.

A case has been registered under the jurisdiction of Madanayakanahalli police station, and an investigation is currently underway. Police teams are actively searching for the accused who used a plastic gun to threaten the shop owner and attempt the robbery.

Authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to track down the suspects at the earliest.
