Bengaluru airport secures top honour at the 2025 ACI ASQ Awards, earning a perfect 5.00 passenger rating for seamless arrivals experience.
Kempegowda International Airport has once again received global recognition, retaining the title of ‘Best Airport at Arrivals Globally’ for the fourth consecutive year. The award was announced as part of the 2025 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards presented by Airports Council International.
The recognition is based entirely on real-time passenger feedback collected through the globally respected Airport Service Quality programme. This programme is considered the world’s leading benchmark for measuring airport customer experience. Passenger satisfaction is assessed through standardised surveys conducted during travel, covering multiple service aspects.
These include service quality, cleanliness, comfort, convenience and operational efficiency. Because the rankings rely directly on travellers’ responses, the award reflects actual passenger experience rather than just infrastructure or size.

According to airport operator Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), improvements across both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 played a major role in securing the top position again. Passenger feedback particularly highlighted the smooth arrival process across the terminals.
Key upgrades that strengthened the airport’s performance include faster immigration processing, more efficient baggage reclaim systems, clearer wayfinding and improved signage, enhanced comfort within terminal spaces, and expanded digital services for travellers. These measures have helped maintain steady and predictable passenger flow, especially during peak travel periods.
Reflecting these improvements, the airport’s overall customer satisfaction score rose from 4.98 to a perfect 5.00, a rare achievement that signals strong and consistent approval from passengers.

Airport officials said the repeated recognition strengthens Bengaluru’s position as a major international gateway to India. They added that the focus will continue to remain on improving operational efficiency and enhancing passenger comfort.
With four consecutive global wins, Kempegowda International Airport has further cemented its reputation as one of the most passenger-friendly airports in the world, particularly for arrivals into India.
