  • Document verification to continue for 3–4 days
  • Final list unlikely before Monday
  • Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation to issue final list

Document verification in the Kogilu encroachment clearance case will continue for another three to four days, with officials indicating that the final list may be prepared only after multiple levels of scrutiny.

The process of finalising the beneficiary list in the Kogilu encroachment eviction case is set to take more time, with document verification expected to continue for at least another three to four days.
According to sources, officials are still examining records to determine eligibility, and uncertainty over the exact criteria to be applied has added to the delay. The verification exercise is being carried out under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), who is personally overseeing the scrutiny of documents.

Officials said the process involves careful examination at two to three different levels to ensure that only eligible cases are considered. Once the DC completes the preliminary list, it will be forwarded to the concerned ministers and then submitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation.

After receiving the list, the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation will once again recheck all entries strictly based on prescribed norms and eligibility conditions. This additional layer of verification is aimed at avoiding errors and ensuring that the final list complies fully with all guidelines.

Only after this re-verification process will the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation release the final list. Senior sources indicated that due to the multiple stages involved, finalisation before Monday appears unlikely. It is also considered difficult to complete the process by the 5th of the month.
