Republic Day-themed Lalbagh Flower Show, inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, sees strong public turnout and impressive revenue collection.
The ongoing Lalbagh Flower Show in Bengaluru is witnessing an overwhelming response from visitors, with thousands turning up every day to enjoy the colourful floral displays. Held as part of the Republic Day celebrations, the event has become a major attraction for residents and tourists alike.
On a single day alone, as many as 32,950 people visited the flower show, reflecting the strong public interest. Among them were 24,950 adult visitors and 3,750 children, while an additional 4,250 school students attended the exhibition as part of organised school visits.
This year’s flower show has been curated around a special theme inspired by renowned Kannada writer Poornachandra Tejaswi, adding a literary and cultural dimension to the floral arrangements. The unique theme-based presentation has been widely appreciated by visitors.

The event has also generated significant revenue. On that day alone, the organisers collected a total of ₹21,56,330 through ticket sales and related charges.
The Lalbagh Flower Show was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on January 14, ahead of the Republic Day celebrations. Since then, footfall has remained consistently high, especially with families and school groups making the most of the event.
Officials say the strong turnout highlights Lalbagh’s continued importance as one of Bengaluru’s most loved public spaces and a key venue for cultural and horticultural events.
