A leopard was seen roaming on a residential road in Anjanapura near Turahalli forest in the early hours, raising alarm after CCTV visuals surfaced.
Residents of Anjanapura in south Bengaluru woke up to panic after a leopard was spotted roaming freely on a residential street in the early hours of the day. The incident was reported from Anjanapura 7th Block, where the animal was seen moving along the road.
According to local sources, the leopard appeared around 2 am in the early morning hours. The movement of the wild animal was captured on CCTV cameras, and the visuals have since spread among residents, triggering fear and concern in the area.

The CCTV footage shows the leopard calmly walking along the road, indicating that it had entered deep into a residential zone. Following the circulation of the visuals, residents expressed anxiety, especially as the area is densely populated.
Anjanapura is located close to the Turahalli forest region, which is believed to be the possible source from where the leopard may have strayed into the city limits. Forest officials suspect that the animal may have wandered out of the forest in search of food or due to habitat disturbance.
After the sighting came to light, residents alerted the authorities. Forest and police officials are expected to monitor the situation closely and take necessary steps to ensure public safety and track the movement of the leopard.
