A Class 10 student died after falling from the seventh floor of his apartment in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. Police found he had consumed alcohol at a pub and have booked the establishment for serving liquor to a minor.

A tragic incident has shaken Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar after a 15-year-old boy died late night following a fall from the seventh floor of his residential apartment complex. The incident took place at Mantri Alpyne Apartments on Dr Vishnuvardhan Road.

According to the police, the boy was a Class 10 student who had gone to a pub with his friends earlier that evening. Investigations revealed that he, along with his classmates, had visited Legacy Brewing Company, located within the RR Nagar police limits, where the minor allegedly consumed alcohol and smoked.

As the boy became heavily intoxicated, his friends reportedly dropped him near his apartment and left. Around 9.40 pm on Saturday, the boy fell from the seventh floor of the apartment building and died on the spot.

The boy’s father filed a police complaint on the same day, following which an investigation was launched. Police are currently probing whether the boy died by suicide, possibly out of fear of facing his family after consuming alcohol, or whether the fall was accidental. Both angles are being examined as part of the investigation.

During the inquiry, police confirmed that the victim was below the legal age and had been allowed to consume alcohol at the pub. Based on this finding, the police have registered a criminal case against the pub owners and staff.
