Ahead of Maha Shivaratri, South Western Railway has announced special express trains between Yeshwantpur and Kalaburagi. The services begin today with night and day departures, halting at key stations and offering 20-coach capacity for passengers.

To meet festive travel demand, South Western Railway introduces special express trains with convenient timings, multiple stoppages, and 20-coach capacity.

To facilitate smooth and comfortable travel during the Maha Shivaratri festival, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced special express train services between Yeshwantpur and Kalaburagi.

As per the official schedule, Train No. 06209 will depart from Yeshwantpur starting today at 10:40 pm and will reach Kalaburagi the next morning at 9:15 am. This overnight service is expected to provide a comfortable travel option for devotees and festival travellers.

For the return journey, Train No. 06210 will operate on Saturday, leaving Kalaburagi at 10:15 am and arriving at Yeshwantpur at 9:40 pm on the same day.

Key Halts and Route Details:

The special express trains will stop at several major stations en route, including Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, and Shahabad. These halts will help cater to passengers from multiple regions, ensuring wide accessibility.

Coach Composition:

Each special train will consist of 20 coaches, enabling the railway authorities to accommodate a large number of travellers during the festive rush. Officials said the additional capacity will help manage the increased demand and reduce waiting lists.
